A friendly cricket match, between the Old boys of Kegalu Vidyalaya and the members of the Staff, is scheduled to be held on the 17th of October, 2017 at Bogala Mills Ground.

Provincial Karathe Tournament Kegalu Vidyalaya excelled at the provincial karathe tournament. Vidyalions won nineteen medals including five gold medals, six silver medals and eight bronze medals.

Inter School Reading Competition M.R.C.D.Senanayake of Kegalu Vidyalaya won the first place at the inter school reading competition held at Ananda college Colombo and also he was able to win the second place at the national level competition.Principal,Sinhala language unit and the academic staff of Kegalu Vidayalaya congratulate him for his success.
